Practicing the Value of Consistency – My 2012 Blog Strategy

Effective leaders embrace and practice consistency.

But as a value, note the different meanings of consistency:
harmonious uniformity; reliability; logical coherence, agreement.

Some leaders focus on creating harmonious uniformity. Military leaders understand and practice this aspect of consistency, with the standardization of planning processes, organization, equipment, and even personnel.

Some leaders focus on reliability. When you need them, they are there. You know the leaders you can always rely on.

Some leaders focus on logical coherence and agreement. They excel at creating an environment where people and processes easily connect in a logical manner. Successful leaders within large organizations tend to exhibit this trait, engaging various parties to work together – almost naturally.

For me personally, the value of consistency is about reliability – to be dependable, faithful, and authentic.

My Blog Strategy for 2012

The goal of this blog is to add value to readers in a consistent and reliable manner.

Blog postings will focus on the power and impact that values can have on marketing, leadership, and marriage. On occasion, I might include a post on a random topic that I believe to be of interest.

It is my intent to post 5 times per week, generally Monday through Friday, as follows:

  • Mondays – blog on marketing
  • Tuesdays – Values Quotes video
  • Wednesdays – blog on leadership
  • Thursdays – blog on marriage
  • Fridays – experiences from real couples in business together

Note to subscribers: there are two forms of receiving blog updates – daily and weekly. You can change your subscription preference by clicking the link at the bottom of any blog post email.

Each week I will endeavor to add value to you with the following three features:

  • Productive tools and fresh insights to help build competitive advantage into your business.
  • Proven techniques and powerful resources to help hone your leadership skills.
  • Practical tips and shared experiences to help enrich your marriage.

I welcome ALL comments and feedback – even if you disagree. Your feedback will help me to improve the value of the content.

My ultimate goal is to encourage readers to lead a meaningful life by making a Godly impact in the decisions being made within their communities and country.

What values would you like highlighted here?

  1. What great ideas, Robert! I’m just starting to put together something similar for myself.

    Monday–motivating tips
    Tuesday-something on inspiration/creativity
    Wednesday–healthy recipes
    Thursday–marketing/business building
    Friday–fitness tips

Sat. & Sun will be strictly for family topics.
    Kudos!

    • Looks like solid plan, Jenny. Practicing the value of consistency will work well for you. Wishing you much success!

  2. I like this approach. I would like to see posts about integrity, responsibility and accountability.

    • Thanks Lisa.

I wrote about Integrity in a previous post:

I will add Responsibility and Accountability to my list of values to write about on this blog.

  3. Great post. So many seem to push consistency to the back of the line in their personal and business activities. Consistency is about forming habits, hopefully good habits, for yourself.

    • You are so right, Elise.
