No Respect. No Respect.

No Respect. No Respect.

We all crave respect.

We all want others to respect our ideas, our efforts, and our contributions.

Why? Because when we feel respected, we feel valued.

Yet we all live through moments where respect is missing.

Maybe you’ve experienced a lack of respect from your peers, your boss, those who report to you, or even customers, investors, or suppliers.

Maybe any sense of respect is missing from the other volunteers on the non-profit committee where you serve, or even from your friends or family.

Maybe you don’t even feel any respect from the homeless panhandler on the street corner.

Consider this question:

Are you showing respect to everyone around you?

Of course, no one is perfect. Some people are even downright difficult.

But everyone has value. And it’s that value which can always be respected.

Respect = an attitude of admiration or esteem; courteous regard for others; deference.
