9 Benefits of Calmness in Marriage

While there are a few people who thrive on agitation, most of us appreciate a peaceful and calm environment.

After a stressful day at work, it’s nice to come home and experience a refuge that is free from agitation or disturbance. Of course, if you have young children the environment might feel anything but calm. But many fathers and mothers I know of love the change of pace from their daily job when they can spend time with their kids at home.

And then there’s that magic moment when the kids go to bed and there is simply a calmness that fills the home…. It feels a little bit like heaven when a husband and wife can sit down on the couch together and just enjoy each other’s company.

No agitation. No excitement. No disturbances.

Just calmness.

As a differentiating value, Calmness means composure; being free from agitation, excitement, or disturbance.  Doesn’t that just sound…. inviting?
