Evaluating Your Virtues
How are your virtues? Do you even know which ones you are strong in and which ones need work?
The value of virtue means an admirable quality; doing what is right; pure; moral excellence.
Benjamin Franklin had a list of 13 virtues. Clearly there is more than one virtue, or admirable quality.
A number of years ago, leadership expert John Maxwell wrote a book The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader. I found it very insightful and a practical way to evaluate one’s leadership abilities.
So I wondered how these 21 qualities might be applied to a leadership couple.
Here is my take on how a leadership couple might embrace a few of these qualities:
3. Commitment – They believe so much in their cause it inspires and attracts others.
6. Courage – They have what it takes to do the things they fear they cannot do.
13. Positive Attitude – They consciously choose to believe they can do anything they put their minds to.
18. Self-Discipline – They develop and follow their priorities and stay focused on results.

Which quality – or virtue – is your greatest strength?
